What is the opportunity?
As an Associate Advisor, you will work with the Investment Advisor team and be responsible for providing proactive advice and support to our clients and the Investment Advisor, helping deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm. Identifying current opportunities and helping to grow the business will be a key and exciting part of your role.
What will you do?
Assists customers in the development of investment strategies and selecting the best products to support such strategies.
Supports cross-sells of banking services and counsels customers on financial matters and investment instruments.
Expands existing relationships and develops new customer relationships through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
Establishes individual financial plans and helps customers build investment portfolios, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. based on financial needs and objectives.
Manage client relationships by preparing for and leading meetings, effectively responding to client account inquiries and taking ownership of follow-ups.
Help build and execute business plans, Wealth Management objectives and client service plans.
Nurture and manage valuable relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and RBC partners.
Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments and provide regular updates to the advisory team.
Execute on the team's formal business development strategy and identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals across the existing client base.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Licensed with CIRO as a Registered Representative
CFA and/or CIM
Investment management experience and capabilities
Must have minimum of 5 years relative industry experience managing portfolios and clients
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have
4 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry
Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
Highly developed client service skills

Compensation
Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range The expected pay range for this position is:
$38,000.00- $60,000.00
This position includes competitive-based pay, and the overall earning potential is impacted by a variable incentive structure, earning a multiple of salary up to:
1.5x
