Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Industrial Wood Coatings Paint Lab Technician (or Color matching Specialist) for the Winnipeg branch

This person is responsible to handle all matters related to various types of coatings; including but not limited to stains, primers, pre-cat, post-cat, urethanes, and water-based products.

More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to :

- Custom Color Mixing proficiency
- Provide color matches services for customers – meeting rush requirements
- Maintain formula/recipe data base
- Support sales force with technical expertise and product application
- Strong wood finishing technical aptitude
- Familiar with viscometer, gloss meter, light box, film thickness meter, etc. for testing coating products
- Prepare samples
- Ability to lift to 50lbs.
- Responsible to maintain quality and protected work practices

Requirements :

- Strong knowledge of Woodcoatings Industry
- Aptitude for matching colors
- Good Color Vision
- High level of self-motivation, self-direction, and self-discipline
- Excellent written, verbal communication and strong inter-personal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
