The Opportunity

IGM Financial is seeking an AVP, AI & Cloud Pod Owner to lead a strategically critical, cross-functional technology pod responsible for advancing Investment Management outcomes through AI and Cloud capabilities. The role owns the long-term vision, multi-year roadmap, priorities, and value realization for the capability, ensuring alignment with Investment Management objectives, enterprise priorities, portfolio strategy, and platform fundamentals. Success requires enterprise and systems thinking, strong commercial and risk acumen, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders. Working across Investment Management, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery, Product, Platform, Risk, Compliance, and Practice partners, the role translates strategic objectives into executable outcomes while sustaining delivery discipline, operational excellence, and long-term value. This is an opportunity to shape AI and Cloud direction for Investment Management, strengthen pod leadership capability, and influence the continued evolution of IGM Technology’s delivery and operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Roadmap & Enterprise Outcome Ownership

- Own the long-term vision, multi-year roadmap, priorities, and value realization for a strategically critical AI & Cloud capability, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, Investment Management objectives, portfolio strategy, and long-term value creation.
- Define and evolve complex roadmaps and backlog investments, making enterprise-level trade-offs across value, scope, cost, speed, capacity, quality, risk, and technical sustainability.
- Translate strategic business objectives into clear outcomes, success measures, and delivery priorities, ensuring shared understanding across pod members, senior stakeholders, and dependent teams.
- Identify emerging AI and Cloud opportunities and shape strategic options that strengthen business outcomes, platform sustainability, and enterprise capability.

Strategic Leadership & Decision-Making

- Serve as the end-to-end accountable leader for pod strategy, outcomes, delivery health, and value realization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insight on delivery health, organizational constraints, investment choices, risks, and strategic options.
- Influence enterprise decisions across business and technology stakeholders, balancing immediate priorities with long-term value, resilience, and sustainability.
- Provide clear recommendations in executive, governance, and planning forums, articulating alternatives, trade-offs, risks, and outcome impacts.
- Drive clarity in decision rights, structures, and resourcing,



and remove systemic impediments that affect delivery, quality, or engagement.

Delivery Leadership & Cross-Portfolio Execution

- Lead execution of the roadmap at the epic and option level, ensuring iterative delivery with transparency, predictability, accountability, quality, and discipline.
- Establish clear operating rhythms and expectations for leaders and practitioners within scope, ensuring timely decisions and accountability for commitments and outcomes.
- Lead resolution of complex cross-portfolio, cross-platform, and vendor-driven dependencies that could affect enterprise outcomes.
- Monitor outcome, feature, and delivery performance, intervening where required to address risks, constraints, or material variances.
- Represent the pod in enterprise governance, demonstrations, and senior stakeholder forums, clearly communicating progress, decisions, risks, dependencies, and required actions.

Quality, Resilience, Risk & Technical Sustainability

- Be accountable for technical sustainability, resilience, quality, stability, security, and risk posture for the AI & Cloud capability, including systemic technical debt and regulatory readiness.
- Balance delivery speed and near-term value with long-term platform health, maintainability, scalability, resilience, and operational sustainability.
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Platform, Cyber Security, Risk, Compliance, and Delivery leaders to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and regulatory and operational expectations.
- Ensure material technology risks, control requirements, and remediation investments are visible, prioritized, and governed through appropriate forums.

People Leadership, Succession & Capability Building

- Provide people leadership and mentorship to Pod Owners and senior practitioners, building leadership capability and strengthening succession pipelines.
- Set clear expectations and operating rhythms for leaders and practitioners within scope; ensure accountability, team health, and effective performance management in partnership with Chapters and HR.
- Own succession and talent outcomes for pod leadership, partnering with Chapter and Practice Leads to scale capability frameworks, upskilling priorities, and best practices.
- Foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture focused on customer outcomes, collaboration, continuous improvement, and responsible innovation.
- Identify future AI and Cloud capability needs and influence workforce, sourcing, vendor, and development strategies required to deliver the roadmap.

Stakeholder Management, Governance & Operating Model Leadership

- Build trusted partnerships across senior Investment Management and Technology leadership, enterprise functions, and strategic vendors.
- Create alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities and resolve complex conflicts that could affect outcomes or long-term value.
- Provide decision-ready insight on progress, value realization, delivery health, risks, dependencies, financial considerations, and strategic choices.
- Influence the continuous evolution of the technology delivery and operating model, contributing lessons, standards, and practices that improve effectiveness beyond the pod.
- Champion responsible AI and Cloud adoption by ensuring innovation is advanced with appropriate governance, risk management, and operational discipline.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Leadership & Enterprise Delivery Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience leading complex product, platform, technology, or delivery portfolios.
- Proven accountability for complex,



enterprise-scale delivery and people leadership in a highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategically critical capabilities with significant cross-platform, vendor, risk, and stakeholder complexity.

Product, Strategy & Technology Leadership

- Enterprise and systems thinking, with demonstrated ability to define long-term vision, multi-year roadmaps, and value realization at enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of AI and Cloud capabilities, technology strategy, platform sustainability, and delivery excellence.
- Experience making enterprise-level investment and prioritization trade-offs across value, cost, speed, capacity, quality, risk, and sustainability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage systemic technical debt, resilience, regulatory readiness, and complex dependencies in partnership with technical and control functions.

Strategic Leadership & Decision-Making

- Advanced stakeholder, conflict, and change leadership capability.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and translate complex delivery, technology, and organizational considerations into clear strategic options.
- Strong commercial, financial, problem-solving, and risk acumen.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability in ambiguous and evolving environments.

People & Operating Model Leadership

- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop Pod Owners and senior practitioners.
- Experience owning leadership succession, capability building, performance outcomes, and organizational health in partnership with Chapters and HR.
- Demonstrated ability to influence operating-model evolution, decision rights, governance, and ways of working across organizational boundaries.
