Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a lively, engaging manner
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle transactions efficiently, and process payments securely
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and cashier stations in accordance with food safety standards
- Package baked items carefully to preserve freshness and presentation for retail sale or takeout
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing ingredients, assembling products, and ensuring quality control throughout the baking process




- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, ingredients, and dietary options
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Support the team during busy periods by multitasking between cashier duties and bakery tasks

Experience

- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, baking processes, and kitchen safety protocols
- Experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is a strong plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create positive interactions
- Knowledge of food handling standards and safety regulations to maintain hygiene standards at all times
- Basic proficiency with cash registers or point-of-sale systems is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work efficiently under pressure, and collaborate within a team environment
