Project Manager About the RoleThis is a full-time role with base hours from 8:00AM until 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.As a Project Manager, you are responsible for client communication, project budget and timelines. From project kickoff through to final closeout, you will work with our dedicated engineering team to provide client solutions. The prospect to take a project through all life cycles of the project is something our Project Manager should pride themselves on.Upon hiring, this role could be trained in Brantford Ontario for up to two weeks on the ERP system and position responsibilities.We operate in a fast-paced, high empowerment workplace so self-motivated individuals looking for a challenge, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

At Opcode Systems we use an ERP system for streamlining data and reports. Knowledge of ERP systems is an asset. In this role you will be tasked with the following main duties:

Project management duties such as generating reports and updating clients on progress. Including, but not limited to, managing scope, project schedules, procurement (shipping and receiving), vendor engagement, client communication, work orders, work plans, and facilitate PM meetings and schedules.

Co-manage the planning of project resources to assist in company loading and smooth delivery of project.

Communicate project status and issues to customers, vendors and internal staff.

Logistics support for ongoing projects to ensure smooth receipt and delivery of components generated by the engineering team via Bills of Material through the ERP system

Budget tracking such as, but not limited to, milestone invoicing and cashflow estimates.



This includes direct correspondence and updates with the Sr Management team

Supervision of existing staff, onboarding of new staff and advisement for recruitment requirements based on project loading and quote pipelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

3+ Years North American manufacturing experience in an engineering role

3+ Controls systems design, programming, or commissioning experience

Proficient with Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Experience with ERP systems

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work alone or in groups

Located within 45 minutes of our office (Otonabee, Ontario)

Well qualified candidates will have:

Strong skill and experience leading projects, schedules and customer communications

Account management experience

Supervisory role experience

Knowledge of lean tools and methodologies

Proficiency with Allen-Bradley hardware product lines

Ability to Travel to US up to 1 week at a time

Education (one of):

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Controls, or Manufacturing Engineering, or

Degree in Business Management

PMP Designation is an asset but not mandatory

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary based on experience, $31-50/hr

Overtime after 40hrs per week
