Tyrod Industries Ltd. is seeking experienced Class A Pressure Welders for a temporary position in our Prince George shop. The successful candidate will be skilled in stainless steel welding using RMD and TIG processes and will consistently produce safe, high-quality welds to specification.

Responsibilities

- Perform stainless steel pressure welding using RMD and TIG processes.
- Read and interpret drawings, weld procedures, specifications, and fabrication requirements.
- Fit, prepare, tack, and weld pipe and related components to required tolerances.
- Complete welds in accordance with applicable procedures, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
- Inspect completed work for quality and correct deficiencies as required.
- Operate welding equipment and shop tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality-control requirements.

Qualifications

- Valid Class A Pressure Welder certification recognized in British Columbia.
- Demonstrated experience welding stainless steel using RMD and TIG.
- Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds and successfully complete required weld testing.
- Strong ability to read and work from drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
- Knowledge of safe welding practices, hazard controls, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Reliable, safety-focused,



and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a shop-based welding position.

What We Offer

- Pay: Employees: $40.00–$46.00 per hour, based on experience | Contractors: $70.00–$75.00 per hour (contract rate), based on scope.
- Temporary, full-time, shop-based work in Prince George, BC.
- Living-out allowance (LOA) available for eligible candidates whose permanent residence is outside Prince George, subject to company policy.

Contractors Welcome We’re open to qualified subcontractors. Requirements include:

- Business Number and GST registration.
- Active WorkSafeBC clearance letter, maintained for the duration of the work.
- Commercial General Liability insurance with minimum coverage of $5,000,000. Tyrod Industries Ltd. must be named as an additional insured upon hire.
