Under the guidance of the Chief Geologist, Core Cutters are positive, hardworking, team players who are responsible for supporting the Geology team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Organize & lift core boxes.
- Check for errors, cut core as per proper procedure.
- Maintain all core cutting equipment.
- Maintain positive housekeeping at all times.
- Grab sampling, as required.
- Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
- Support a work environment that is aligned with Kinross’ Safeground principles.
- Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
- Adhere to all relevant Great Bear policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

A minimum of Grade 12, or GED is required.
- Candidate must be able to frequently lift upwards of 50lbs.
- Previous core cutting experience is an asset.
- Computer skills, specifically working with Microsoft Office is an asset.
- Ability to work outside and in inclement weather when required.

Work Conditions

This position is based in Red Lake, Ontario. The schedule for this position is 8X6.

Compensation and Total Rewards The hourly range for a Core Cutter is $32.00 + Quarterly Bonus, + Group Benefit Coverage.
