Join Family Services of Greater Vancouver as a Shift Counsellor focused on trauma-informed care. Support individuals through therapeutic counselling to prevent radicalization and enhance community connection.In this position, you will manage a caseload while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A robust emphasis on individualized assessments and culturally competent practices is vital. Your role will contribute to creating safe and impactful interventions for at-risk participants.Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored safety plansProvide therapeutic counselling using evidence-based frameworksLead case coordination including interdisciplinary discussionsEngage culturally with participants while applying anti-oppressive practicesMaintain accurate documentation of all services providedRequirements:Master's Degree in a relevant field (Counselling or Social Work)Minimum of three years in counselling traumatized individualsTraining in somatic therapies and expressive artsExperience with crisis management and collaborative planningDeep understanding of neurobiology related to traumaLeverage your clinical skills at FSGV to support individuals in transforming their lives through the Shift BC program.
