As a Kimberley Alpine ResortPatroller, you will play an key role in maintaining the safety and well-being of guests and employees throughout the mountain. You will respond to incidents, provide emergency care, support mountain safety operations, and help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular safety inspections of the mountain, trails, and related equipment
Providing first aid and emergency medical care to injured or ill guests and employees
Safely transporting injured guests from the mountain using toboggans and other appropriate equipment
Promoting and enforcing mountain safety rules, procedures, and guidelines
Assisting with avalanche control operations before, during, and after storms, as required
Maintaining and managing patrol equipment, medical supplies, and inventory
Assisting with lift evacuations and other emergency response procedures when required
Responding to incidents and emergencies across the mountain and working collaboratively with other resort departments and emergency services as needed
Communicating effectively with guests, employees, and other members of the Patrol team in a skilled and helpful manner

Qualifications:




Must possess current WorkSafe recognized Advanced First Aid or Peak NUEC-A certification
Must be a strong skier or snowboarder, capable of comfortably navigating all terrain and snow conditions; must successfully pass a ski or snowboard skills test to demonstrate ability
Physically capable of handling both empty and loaded toboggans on all terrain and in all snow conditions; must successfully pass a toboggan skills test to demonstrate ability
AST1, AVSAR1 or AvOps1 an asset (not required)
Previous Patrol experience an asset
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum age of pro patrol is 19 years
