Operate as a critical Wastewater Systems Operator with the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Nunavut in Rankin Inlet. Ensure protected and efficient wastewater management daily. In this indeterminate position, you will have a significant impact on maintaining the Hamlet of Rankin Inlet’s sewer flows and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

Reporting to the Water, Wastewater Systems Manager, your daily efforts will aim for excellence in operational safety and environmental compliance. This opportunity is limited to residents of Rankin Inlet only, highlighting the community-based nature of the role. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain optimal operation of wastewater treatment systems
Monitor wastewater flow and temperatures
Ensure adherence to environmental guidelines
Operate Johnston Cove Lift Station and pipelines
Collaborate with the Water, Wastewater Systems Manager Requirements:
Residency in Rankin Inlet required
Experience with wastewater systems preferred
Familiarity with environmental safety practices
Solid problem-solving skills
