This is a contract / full time (Project-Based) on-site in Port Hope.

Project Overview

We are seeking a Senior Site Safety Officer to lead safety efforts on a project in Port Hope. This role requires a seasoned skilled who can take ownership of site safety, provide leadership, and act as a trusted advisor to both clients and project teams.

You will play a critical role in driving safety strategy, mentoring others, and ensuring regulatory compliance at a high level.Contract / Full-Time (Project-Based)

Requirements

What You'll Do




Perform daily site inspections and hazard identification
Ensure compliance with OHSA and construction regulations
Conduct toolbox talks and safety orientations
Work with contractors and supervisors to address safety concerns
Maintain documentation, reports, and incident records
Support audits and regulatory inspections

What You Bring
Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Solid understanding of Ontario safety legislation
Solid reporting and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in an active construction environment
NCSO designation considered an asset
