About the position

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on employee to take responsibility for daily warehouse operations. You will work directly with the owner and manage routine receiving, sorting, and shipping independently after training.

Scrap metal or recycling experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants with warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other handling equipment.
Weigh incoming and outgoing materials, maintain accurate records, and keep customer lots labelled and separated.
Sort, process, and package materials; prepare drums, bins, and pallets for shipment.
Receive customer drop-offs, complete paperwork, and assist with approved transactions.
Keep the warehouse organized, maintain basic inventory records, and follow safe work procedures.

Qualifications
Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, manufacturing,



or industrial experience.
Practical forklift experience and safe material-handling habits.
Attention to detail, basic computer skills, and confidence recording weights and completing paperwork.
Reliable attendance, positive communication, and the ability to work without constant supervision.
Comfortable with physical, shop-floor work using appropriate equipment and secure handling methods.

Experience identifying or sorting scrap metals is an asset. Training on our materials and procedures will be provided.

What we offer

Steady weekday hours, paid training, required safety equipment, a safety-boot allowance, and a performance and pay review after three months.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
