Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate

Macdonald’s Home Furnishings | Meaford, Ontario | Full time

Starting pay: $20 per hour

We’re hiring a delivery driver who takes pride in doing a demanding job well. You’ll deliver furniture, mattresses and appliances to customers’ homes, work closely with a delivery partner, and help keep our warehouse and store running smoothly.

What you will do

· Drive our company truck safely and professionally, complete required checks, and secure loads properly.

· Load, unload and carry furniture, mattresses and appliances every day; protect products and customers’ homes, and use safe lifting methods and equipment.

· Greet customers professionally, deliver and position products, complete paperwork and communicate concerns promptly.

· When deliveries are finished, help with showroom moves, warehouse organization, routine truck upkeep, building upkeep and other assigned store tasks.

What we are looking for

· A valid Ontario Class G licence, a satisfactory driver’s abstract and the ability to meet our vehicle insurance requirements.

· The ability to do frequent,



physically demanding lifting and carrying throughout the day, including bulky items and stairs. Individual lifts of up to 100 lb may be required; heavier or awkward items are moved with a partner and appropriate equipment.

· A dependable, hard working teammate who communicates respectfully with customers and coworkers, follows safety procedures, and is willing to learn.

· Delivery, moving, warehouse or furniture and appliance experience is helpful, but a strong attitude and sound judgment matter most.
