Personal Lines Broker

Reports to: Personal Lines Servies Manager

Summary: Responsible maintaining and growing a personal lines book of business through renewal retention, upselling, cross selling

Job Duties
Customer service to clients within book of business
Accepting referral business and quoting to help grow book of business
Handling the clients’ file activities start to finish to maintain retention targets
Maintaining skilled and team-oriented relationships with insurers
Reviewing and addressing renewals
Processing endorsements and midterm changes




Rewriting/remarketing where necessary to enhance the client experience
Initiating and providing guidance in the claims process
Contributing to premium growth targets by upselling appropriate coverages and referring business to other lines where applicable
Outbound calling to existing MacLeod Lorway Clients for New Business Prospects
Providing assistance to the Sales Team when required

Requirements
High school diploma. A post-secondary diploma or degree will be an asset.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the insurance industry.
Valid property and casualty insurance representative license or the ability to promptly satisfy the requirements for licensing.
An industry professional designation such as CAIB or CIP will be an asset, or interest in professional development.
Client-focused with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Extremely well organized with excellent analytical skills.
Collaborative team player with a positive and supportive attitude.
