Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatch Supervisor to lead our transportation coordination team. Responsibilities

- Supervise daily dispatch activities, coordinating freight shipments with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine software to plan routes, track shipments, and optimize freight movements.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate data entry into AS400 and other logistics platforms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Analyze shipping data to identify inefficiencies or delays and implement corrective actions to improve supply chain performance.
- Oversee freight documentation, including bills of lading, shipment logs,



and delivery confirmations with attention to detail.
- Lead a team of dispatch staff by providing guidance on communication skills, data entry accuracy, and operational procedures to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, and SyteLine in a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a supply chain or third-party logistics (3PL) setting.
- Excellent analysis skills for evaluating freight data and operational metrics to enhance dispatch efficiency.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing speed, and managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in documentation and data management.
- Knowledge of freight regulations, shipping procedures, and supply chain best practices is preferred.
