B.J. Normand Ltd. is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is eager to gain more experience in drywall, acoustic ceilings, office fit-ups and becoming a key member of our team.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Liaise, consult and communicate with General Contractors, Suppliers, Architects, Engineers and Owners
Preparing complete on-screen take-offs and cost estimates of materials, labor and equipment
Co-coordinating price packages of specifications with suppliers, sub-contractors, and architects
Review project plans, requirements, specifications and costs
Coordinate price packages with suppliers, sub-contractors, owners, designers and architects regarding tenders.
Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, suppliers and sub-contractors
Negotiating terms of agreement/ contract / schedule
Participate in tender review
Complete submittals and cost savings
Conduct material and equipment purchasing for secured jobs
Organize job start up meeting with site super/ G.C. to review scope of work
Organize man-power with site super, order materials, equipment, engineering if required
Attend job-site weekly meetings
Review the daily progress of the project and ensure it is financially on track and on schedule




Analyze the project and mitigate risk
Price change orders and understand the impact on the scope
Ensure accounting is in line with project
Support Foreman throughout the duration of the project and maintain quality control
Complete all job close out procedures

Requirements
Min 5 years of construction project management experience
Must have min 3 year experience in the drywall industry
Must understand construction costs to be able to price change orders
Ability to price own small projects
Self-motivated individual able to work with deadlines.
College Diploma or University Degree (preferred)
Bilingual is an asset (French)
Candidate must be proficient using MS applications.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with Onscreen/Quick bid as an asset.
Must have a vehicle for use during the day.
