Lost and Found Cafe is looking to hire part-time kitchen help! Looking for a team oriented, quick-pace worker who can multitask and work the line at a busy cafe. The ideal candidate would have a passion for food and hospitality, creative cooking and working in a team environment.

Pay includes pooled hourly tips

Looking for someone to work weekends and bonus if you can work the occasional weekday shift.

Duties
Work the line preparing sandwiches, salads and more to-order
Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in food quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring all food handling practices are followed.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Close down the kitchen ensuring proper stocking,



cleaning and shutting down of equipment
Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work setting.

Requirements
Previous experience in a cooking or food service role is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is an assset
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving ingredients.
A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.
