Economy Paving is looking for an experienced Main Line Excavator Operator to join our underground crew. We’re looking for a reliable operator with experience working around underground utilities and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities
Operate an excavator for main line underground utility installations, including water, sanitary and storm sewer.
Excavate trenches accurately to required line and grade.
Work closely with pipe layers, labourers and ground crews.
Safely work around existing utilities and follow trench protection procedures.
Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Keep a safe, organized and productive work area.

Qualifications
Previous main line excavator experience on underground utility projects.




Strong understanding of trenching, shoring and protected excavation practices.
Ability to read grade stakes and work with laser or GPS guidance systems.
Valuable communication skills and the ability to work as part of a crew.
Reliable transportation and availability to work long hours.
Ground disturbance certificate
