Overview

We are seeking a reliable and responsible 5-Ton Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. This role offers an opportunity to work in a agile environment where safety, punctuality, and professionalism are paramount.

Shift Details & Schedule

- Night Shift: 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Shift Incentive: Guaranteed $180.00 minimum payout per shift, even on days when delivery routes are completed early.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate company vehicles (5-ton straight truck) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize travel time.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks (pre-trip and post-trip).
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Follow all Ontario traffic laws and company safety policies while driving.




- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules or transit issues.

Qualifications

- License Requirement: Valid Ontario DZ driver’s license with over 3 years of driving experience preferred.
- Alternative License: Candidates with a standard G license will be considered only if they possess over 3 years of commercial driving experience and a clean driver's abstract.
- Experience: Proven experience operating a 5-ton straight truck or large commercial vehicles.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical freight handling. Must be comfortable manoeuvring skids of auto parts weighing up to 1,400 lbs using a manual pallet jack or pump truck.
- Traits: Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Location

- Pay: $180.00 per day (Guaranteed daily shift minimum)
