POSITION DESCRIPTION – ARTS WHISTLER EVENT CREW - CASUAL

Arts Whistler is seeking friendly, organized, and community-minded casual Event Crew members to support venue operations during events and programs. Event Crew members play an important role in creating welcoming, safe, and positive experiences for guests, artists, clients, and community partners.

This is a versatile, hands-on role that includes front-of-house, box office, guest services, event operations, bar support, and event closing duties. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities to help events run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Support event setup, front-of-house operations, guest entry, seating, and crowd flow.
- Sell and process tickets, manage guest check-in, and assist with ticketing questions.
- Provide friendly customer service and general information to guests.
- Operate ticketing and POS systems, including Showpass, Square, and Ricochet.
- Handle cash and complete box office, bar, and closing cashouts as required.
- Support event staff, volunteers, performers, bar staff, security, and technical teams.
- Follow venue safety, accessibility, crowd management, and liquor licensing requirements.
- Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns, incidents, and unexpected situations.
- Assist with event closing, cleaning, maintenance reporting,



and securing the venue.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in busy or high-pressure situations.
- Comfortable learning and using ticketing, point-of-sale, and event software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of teams, audiences, artists, and community partners.
- Previous experience in ticketing, customer service, or event environments is an asset, but not required
- Active Serving it right certificate required.

Position Details

Reports to: Programs Manager | Venue Manager

Hours: Casual, as needed. Hours will include weekdays, evenings and weekends based on requirements.

Compensation: $21-23/hour + 4% vacation pay
