Nara Katsu is looking for a full time Kitchen Supervisor to join our team.

We are a busy restaurant located on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, specializing in Japanese katsu and Korean comfort food.

We are looking for someone with strong kitchen experience who can work hands-on with the team while helping lead daily kitchen operations, especially during busy dinner service.

Responsibilities
Lead and support the kitchen team during peak service hours
Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion standards
Monitor kitchen inventory and stock levels
Ensure prep is completed and organized before service
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
Train and support recent kitchen staff
Help coordinate staff stations and breaks during service
Communicate kitchen issues, staffing concerns, and inventory needs to the owners
Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies




Work on the line as needed during service

Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience required
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen
Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
Experience with Korean or Japanese cuisine is an asset
Must be available to work evenings and weekends

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Kitchen Supervisor will work directly with the kitchen team while helping maintain smooth service, food quality, and overall kitchen standards. Pay: $15.24-$27.80 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
