Our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Learning Experience Designer to design and develop a foundational, self-directed training program for web editors.

This is a hands-on senior role responsible for taking the program from learning needs assessment and curriculum design through digital production, LMS implementation, testing and refinement. The training will focus on practical content strategy, user experience and digital accessibility.

6-month full-time contract

Calgary preferred; remote considered

Travel may be required

Must Have:

- 7+ years of professional experience in Learning Experience Design, Instructional Design, Adult Education or a related field
- Advanced hands-on experience with Articulate 360 , including Storyline and Rise, or comparable authoring tools
- Experience developing and deploying learning content within an enterprise LMS , including SCORM or xAPI
- Strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles
- Experience translating complex or technical subject matter into clear, practical learning experiences
- Robust experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, validate and refine learning content

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience designing training for web editors, content authors or distributed publishing teams
- Experience with content strategy, UX, content design or digital accessibility
- Experience with WCAG and accessible e-learning
- Experience working with enterprise content management systems or large, decentralized organizations

Responsibilities:

- Assess learning needs and define foundational competencies, learning objectives and learning pathways




- Design and develop self-directed, asynchronous learning modulesusing Articulate 360 or comparable tools
- Translate content strategy, UX and accessibility concepts into practical, easy-to-understand training
- Develop interactive scenarios, activities, knowledge checks, assessments and practical job aids
- Build LMS-ready content and support applicable SCORM/xAPI requirements
- Work with SMEs to gather expertise, validate content and manage review cycles
- Apply adult learning, accessibility, visual and information design principles throughout the learning experience
- Conduct pilot and usability testing, incorporate feedback and refine the training program
- Create documentation and production standards to support ongoing maintenance and future updates
