Become a vital part of Valard Construction as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician in Aylmer, Ontario. This hands-on position specializes in the construction of electrical distribution systems with a robust emphasis on safety. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, you will engage in various tasks, from installing power lines to leading safety protocols at job sites.

As this is a union worksite, joining the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW) is mandatory. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in utility construction and a knack for mentoring juniors. Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain overhead and underground lines
Execute advanced live line work and splice conductors




Mentor apprentices on essential safety and operational tasks
Lead safety assessments and ensure compliance documentation
Submit daily reports and safety forms Requirements:
Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification (434A or Red Seal)
Direct power distribution experience required
Familiarity with energized work and UG installations
Class 4 Rubber Glove experience necessary
