Your role will involve maintaining clear communication with Ontario Provincial Police, emergency responders, maintenance contractors and external agencies.Working in a shift work environment with rotating shifts Monday through Sunday 24/7, 365 days, you will:manage traffic on provincial highways to improve safety and efficiency of traffic flowoperate two-way radios and traffic management systemsprioritize the sharing of information in high pressure emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalismmonitor and record incidents, and prepare and review logs and reportscontribute to the continuous improvement of traffic management strategiesLearn how Traffic Operations Centres help people plan their routes and travel safely across the province through the Ontario 511 traveller information service.
