Event Server — Fine Dining

Oak; is a chef-led catering company doing weddings, galas, plated dinners and canapé receptions across the Okanagan. Our calendar is busy through December, and we're adding experienced servers to a strong service team.

Two ways to work with us. Tell us which fits you.

Core server (2–3 positions)

Consistent event shifts, mostly Friday and Saturday evenings, with more mid-week shifts as events book. We schedule flexibly across a full team, and shift length depends on the service.

On-call server

Occasional events when we need a larger team. No minimum commitment. This suits servers who want well-paid shifts on their nights off.

Pay

$24/hr. Tips when received are split equally by hours worked at each event. Travel time and gas are paid for some events outside Kelowna.

The work

- Passed canapé service, plus plated, family-style and buffet dinner service
- Event setup and breakdown: tables, place settings and service stations
- Looking after guests from the moment they arrive through the end of the night
- Working closely with our event lead and kitchen team to keep service seamless

At Oak;, hospitality is the product. We look for people who read a room, anticipate what guests need, and make service look effortless.

You need

- 2+ year of serving experience (fine dining,



hotel banquets or catering preferred)
- Serving It Right certification, or a willingness to get it before your first shift
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Availability for evening and weekend events
- Reliable transportation to venues around the Okanagan
- A polished, professional presence with guests, and the ability to stay on your feet through long events and carry trays and equipment

Assets

- Wine knowledge
- Wedding or large-event experience
- Photo/content or sales experience. If you have it, tell us, since we're building out both.
