Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

We are seeking a Facility Assistant III to join our Grain team. This role is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the facility and achievement of production targets, while demonstrating an exceptionally high level of customer service and providing leadership to other Facility Assistants. This position is responsible for monitoring safe operating procedures and maintaining the corresponding documentation.

Day to Day

Contribute to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments





Assist the Operations Manager in mentoring and educating Facility Assistants in grading, inventory management and safety practices

Exercise competency in grading canola, wheat, oats and barley

Bin and blend all incoming grain

Maintain the facility through regular maintenance and housekeeping

Blend fertilizer according to established procedures

Maintain a safe and compliant working environment

What You’ll Bring

3+years’ experience in the operation of a grain elevator

Post-secondary education preferably in agriculture or business is an asset

Experience as a team lead/supervisor

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the grain industry, including grading factors and elevator equipment

Trained in health & safety procedures and a champion for safe work environment

Aptitude for maintenance and repair of grain elevator equipment

Valid driver's license

Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens and lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)Ability to work a flexible work schedule
