Become an Engineering Co-op Student at Hudbay Minerals, beginning January 2027. This full time role offers a unique entry point into the mining industry, providing essential skills and experience. Enrolled students in Mining Engineering, particularly those in their 2nd year or beyond, will report to the Senior Mine Engineer.

The position encompasses various responsibilities including survey support, drill design, and planning tasks that are key to mining operations. Engage in a 7-on-7-off rotation that empowers your learning through practical experiences at an open-pit mine. Key Responsibilities:
Foster a robust safety culture in the workplace
Support survey process and data interpretation
Assist in drill & blast activities
Participate in operations improvement studies
Conduct quality control for collected data Requirements:
Enrolled in a Mining Engineering degree program
Experience in open-pit mining preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Knowledge of SQL, Python, Surpac beneficial
