Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Cantonese-speaking caregiver to provide exceptional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in north Edmonton. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives by delivering personalized care in a respectful and professional manner.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules
Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive setting
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance,
including heavy lifting when necessary
Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to family or healthcare specialists
Requirements
Fluent in Cantonese with excellent verbal communication skills
Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home settings is highly preferred
Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical aspects of caregiving
Solid caregiving skills including patient care, medication administration, and meal preparation
Experience with cleaning and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life
