Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. Work days - Thursday to Sunday. 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. We offer a paid break each day.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring their experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
Pack items, slice bread and restock display area as required during the day.
Assist with making freshly made sandwiches,
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts.
Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of low supplies.
Assist with dish,



ensuring there is adequate dishes to accommodate the needs of the front at all time. Also assisting with cleaning trays, pans, etc.
When there is time, assist with other areas within the bakery as necessary and as skills are developed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Uphold food safety practices in all aspects of food handling and preparation.

Skills
Previous experience with making crafted espresso drinks, experience with latte art would be beneficial but is not necessary.
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Familiarity with POS systems for effective order processing. Able to count and process cash transactions.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices related to food handling.
Ability to manage time effectively in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
