Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
Assemble a diverse menu of sandwiches, wraps, and salads with attention to detail and flavor balance
Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
Handle food packaging efficiently for take-out orders while ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying when ingredients need replenishing
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing special requests or dietary needs
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is highly preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking, cooking, and food handling safety protocols
Skills in cake decorating and food presentation are a plus
Strong understanding of kitchen operations within the food industry environment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, customer-focused attitude
Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices
Work on weekend is an asset
