Although Mission is part of a broader metropolitan area, it still maintains its distinct and welcoming small-town flavor.Job DescriptionThe City of Mission Recreation Department is seeking qualified and enthusiastic fitness instructors to teach a variety of land fitness classes.



The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment by demonstrating proper form, techniques, and modifications while providing clear and precise instruction. Applicants must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a recognized fitness certification, such as Group Fitness Instructor registration with BCRPA or CFES, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. In addition, current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certifications are required.Additional InformationFlexible availability is required for this position, as classes may be scheduled during mornings, evenings, and weekends.The hourly rate of pay for this position is $31.78/hour, plus 4% vacation pay.This position will be included in the CUPE bargaining unit once agreement on the terms & conditions of employment are finalized
