Overview The Carpet Studio is hiring a full-time Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper to own our payables, customer invoicing and day-to-day bookkeeping. You'll work directly with our controller in a small office where your work is visible and the books actually matter. This suits someone accurate and organized who would rather run a clean set of books than be one seat in a large department.

Duties
Enter and process accounts payable — vendor invoices, matching to purchase orders and receiving, and payment runs
Invoice customers, issue statements, and follow up on outstanding accounts
Reconcile vendor statements and company credit card statements monthly
Enter job costs and keep coding accurate against each job
Support month-end close alongside the controller
Handle vendor and customer account inquiries
Maintain vendor files, filing and general office bookkeeping

Experience
2+ years in accounts payable, bookkeeping or a similar accounting role
Accurate with numbers,



and able to catch your own errors before they reach the controller
Able to keep pace with a steady invoice volume without falling behind
Accounting or bookkeeping diploma an asset; equivalent experience considered
Construction, trades or flooring industry experience is an asset but not required
Job Runner specific experience is an asset

What we offer
$55,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience
Full time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 (adaptable to this exact time)
