Cashier/Barista

Agora Greek Market is looking for current cashiers to join our team!

MUST BE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS

Location: 921 Queen St. West - Directly across from Trinity Bellwoods Park

Compensation: $20 an hour weekly tip out

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer qualified, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
Greet customers, answer menu questions etc.
Prepare and package orders for pick up, take-out and delivery
Prepare and package catering orders
Manage orders coming in through Uber, Ritual and Agora app
Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Schedule Mornings, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:




Previous cashier and customer service experience required
Must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced setting
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Experience expediting catering orders considered an asset

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
