Accounting Assistant

Location: Concord, Ontario

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview An established manufacturing company in Concord, Ontario is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our team.

This position is ideal for a recent Bachelor of Commerce graduate or someone early in their accounting career who is looking to gain practical experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Enter and process supplier invoices
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
Prepare and process vendor payments
Prepare customer invoices and assist with customer account inquiries
Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts
Assist with bank and account reconciliations
Assist with general ledger entries and accounting records
Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding accounting matters




Assist with reports, spreadsheets, and other accounting duties as required

Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) or similar degree, preferably with an accounting or finance focus
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Previous accounting, AP, or AR experience is an asset but not required
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Positive Microsoft Excel and computer skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new accounting systems and procedures

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Company advantages are available after 90 days of employment.

This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position at our Concord, Ontario facility with an opportunity to learn, develop accounting skills, and take on additional responsibilities over time.
