Job Summary

Our Cafe hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm . Shifts range from 8am to 330pm.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe. This position involves food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. A passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety are essential.

Duties
Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas to comply with health regulations.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.




Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Adhere to food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling.

Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards patrons.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Experience with food preparation and serving techniques is advantageous.
