Electrician

Location: Cambridge

Pay: $50 per hour

Shift: Night Shift

Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on industrial production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, automation, and control systems.
Complete assigned maintenance tasks, work orders, inspections, and equipment upgrades in a timely manner.
Respond to equipment failures, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
Support troubleshooting activities and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring failures.
Work closely with production operators, maintenance personnel, and other departments to address equipment concerns and improve overall plant performance.
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, equipment issues, and maintenance activities.
Participate in shift handovers and communicate outstanding repairs, equipment status, and priorities.
Use strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve electrical, mechanical, PLC, and automation-related issues in a manufacturing workplace.

Qualifications
Valid Ontario Electrical License (309A or 442)



required; Certificate of Apprenticeship considered an asset.
Additional skilled trade certification is considered an asset.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, industrial automation systems, and electrical controls.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance records.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Robust mechanical aptitude with experience performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a maintenance team.
Solid focus on safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Good communication skills and basic computer knowledge.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs when required.
