Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and will have longterm care experience. This position requires a robust understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in managing stock levels.
Collaborate with healthcare specialists to ensure seamless medication administration.
Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the pharmacy team.
Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing prescription orders.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a pharmacy setting.
Knowledge of medication administration processes and protocols.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
Experience with Propel is preferred
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating attention to detail.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as part of the hiring process.
