Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will have a solid interest in healthcare, excellent organizational skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Prior experience in hospital settings or pharmacy technician roles is highly valued. The Pharmacy Assistant will play a key role in medication management, patient support, and administrative tasks within a quick-paced medical setting.

Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Prepare prescription labels and package medications for patient pickup
Maintain organized inventory of pharmaceutical supplies and medications
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
Manage documentation related to medication administration and patient records
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, medical terminology standards, and confidentiality regulations




Support administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient support

Requirements
Previous experience in pharmacy assistant roles is preferred
Robust knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Experience in patient care environments demonstrating compassion and professionalism
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory management, and safety protocols is advantageous
Certification or training related to pharmacy assistance or medical assisting is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week

Experience:
Pharmacy assisstant: 1 year (preferred)
