Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our logistics team. We may also consider a BC local driver to run some short haul loads. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This role requires a robust commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties
Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, routes, and any issues encountered on the road.
Ensure cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Handle freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
Perform basic automotive repairs when needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Requirements
Valid class 1 commercial driver's license (CDL)



with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in long haul transportation.
Strong knowledge of freight handling and logistics processes.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for on-the-road maintenance.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
