Wood Stair Builder / Carpenter Apprentice The Stair Shoppe – Calgary

Join a 38-year established Calgary stair manufacturing company where you can earn your Red Seal Carpenter certification while learning a specialized trade.

4-day work week (Mon-Thu, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

What You'll Do: Build custom wood stairs from drawings and specifications using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. You'll learn everything from reading blueprints to precision cutting and assembly.

What You Need:
Strong math skills (fractions/decimals in imperial - we'll test this)
Able to read a tape measure accurately




Can lift 75 lbs regularly
Willingness to get First Aid & Forklift certification (within first 3 months)
Previous woodworking experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person

Starting wage depends on experience. Tell us what you're looking for we may be able to accommodate you. if you are looking for a winter job we can accommodate you also.

Located in Northeast Calgary (T2K 5X2)

Pay: $17.50-$23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
