Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic

National Freight Ltd. (NFL) is seeking a reliable and motivated Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and trailers to ensure the safe and productive operation of our fleet.

Responsibilities:
Perform general repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Change and repair truck and trailer tires
Replace and repair brake chambers, brake pots, and other brake components
Perform hub seal and wheel-end repairs
Carry out basic suspension and steering repairs
Troubleshoot air brake and basic electrical issues
Perform oil changes, preventive maintenance services, and routine inspections
Diagnose mechanical problems and recommend required repairs




Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
Keep the work area clean, organized, and secure

Requirements:
Minimum 1–2 years of heavy-duty truck and trailer mechanic experience
Experience working on semi-trucks and trailers
Knowledge of truck and trailer tires, brakes, hub seals, and general mechanical repairs
Ability to diagnose and repair basic mechanical, air brake, and electrical systems
Own mechanic tools required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Class 5 driver's licence is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 48.0 per week
