Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and assisting with sales in a energetic retail environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and an interest in sports and outdoors. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail and merchandising skills while working in a vibrant setting that values teamwork and professionalism.

Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties, buy in of used equipment and assiting with some service work such as skate sharpening.
Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly labeled
Provide product knowledge related to gardening, landscape maintenance, and horticulture to educate customers
Assist with merchandising efforts to enhance store presentation and promote seasonal or featured items
Support e-commerce initiatives by helping customers place orders online or through digital platforms
Handle customer inquiries both in person and via phone or online communication channels




Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including landscape maintenance tasks if applicable
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance

Experience
Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
Knowledge using POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques is advantageous
Familiarity with all types of sports; from hockey to hacky sack.
Multilingual skills can enhance customer interactions and team communication
Solid communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential
Experience with e-commerce platforms or online sales processes is beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.25-$19.25 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
