Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors within our organization. This is a critical role that requires solid attention to detail and the ability to implement effective safety protocols.
Duties:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards or safety concerns
-Coordinate training, safety course and competency-based training of new hires.
Provide safety training to employees on topics such as emergency response, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills or simulations
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other relevant documentation
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
Robust analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks or hazards
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols
Attention to detail and the ability to implement effective safety policies and procedures
Ability to fabricate training materials or resources as needed
