We are seeking a dependable Labourer/Swamper to join our team at the Pacifica Steel Millet Pipe yard.

Responsibilities
Assist with loading and unloading pipe / steel, helping our operators guide material onto trucks and trailers and securing with dunnage / wedges.
Use Oxy / Acetylene torches and bevelers to cut steel to length.
Operate various power tools and hand tools when needed
Keep work area tidy and organized
Work well with others, positive communication.
Work around heavy equipment and operate all tools in a safe manner.

Experience
No experience necessary,



willing to teach and train the right candidate that wants to work towards a welding apprenticeship or get their foot in the door with trades work.
Familiarity with hand tools / power tools / welding tools considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely.
Any time spent working around heavy equipment considered an asset
