Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll become a deep expert on both our platform and the project teams who rely on it daily.This role sits at the intersection of product and go-to-market. You'll partner closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to bring new features to market, create content that showcases how our product solves real on the jobsite problems, and represent Outbuild as a product expert at online and at industry events.If you're someone who loves understanding how software works, gets energized talking to customers about their workflows, and can translate technical capabilities into benefits that field teams care about,
this is the role for you.RESPONSIBILITIESBecome a product expert who deeply understands Outbuild's platform, our customers' workflows, and the problems we solveCreate and present product demos for video content across social media, webinars, sales enablement, and marketing campaignsProduce video content, including feature walkthroughs, customer stories, and product tutorials that showcase real-world valueDevelop product messaging, positioning, and launch materials that translate features into customer benefitsParticipate in industry conferences and events, demonstrating the product and engaging with customers and prospectsBuild relationships with customers to understand their challenges, surface compelling use cases, and gather feedback for ProductCreate case studies, blog posts, and sales collateral that demonstrate how Outbuild improves outcomes on construction projectsWork with Sales to develop product narratives, competitive positioning, and enablement materialsTrack customer insights and market signals, feeding what you learn back into product strategy and messagingWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR5+ years in product marketing at a B2B SaaS or construction tech company, with deep product knowledge and customer understandingProven ability to create engaging product demos and explain technical features, both written and verbalStrong product intuition and willingness to become a true product expert who understands the platform inside and outCustomer-obsessed mindset with experience gathering insights from users and translating them into actionable positioningComfort on camera and on stage, able to demo and be the face of the product confidently and authenticallyStrong writer across formats:
case studies, blog posts, feature announcements, social contentAbility to synthesize both qualitative customer feedback and quantitative data to inform strategyCollaborative approach with experience working closely across Product, Sales, and Marketing teamsScrappy execution mindset comfortable moving fast and figuring things out in a startup environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBackground in construction or construction technology strongly preferredExperience in marketing products used by frontline workers or field teamsTime at an early-stage startup (Series A through C) where you wore multiple hatsKnowledge of construction scheduling, planning workflows, or Lean Construction principlesUnderstanding of how field teams operate and what drives their software adoptionExperience with video production and editing toolsCOMPENSATIONCompensation for this role is provided on acontract basis. The expected annualized contract value for this engagement isup to USD $140,000, depending on experience, skills, and scope of work.CONTRACT STRUCTURECanada-based independent contractors onlyCandidates must be legally authorized to operate as independent contractors in CanadaContractors are responsible for their own taxes, advantages, and statutory obligationsEngagement terms, scope, and payment structure will be outlined in a written contractor agreementThis position is classified as anindependent contractor roleand does not constitute an offer of employment.
