Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform the task of standing at a table and sorting through recyclable material for prohibited items.

Responsibilities

- Sort through the materials coming through to remove prohibited items such as wood, plastic, boulders, and other materials.
- Prepare work area before starting machine, making sure each area is free of hazards
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols and reporting hazards promptly
- Perform general site cleanup including debris removal and waste disposal at the end of each shift
- Operate basic machinery or equipment under supervision when required
- Follow detailed instructions to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately

Qualifications

- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions clearly




- Prior experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is advantageous
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
