We are looking for a creative, hands-on Gift Basket Designer & Production Assistant to join our growing gifting team in Southeast Calgary.

This position is ideal for someone who has experience in gift basket design, floral design, crafting, visual merchandising, event décor, gift wrapping, or another creative hands-on role. You need to have a good eye for colour, balance and presentation and genuinely enjoy making things look beautiful.

Please do not apply if you do not have relevant creative, design or crafting experience. We are looking for someone who already has the basic skills and creative ability needed for this position.

Responsibilities

- Design and assemble beautiful gift baskets, gift boxes and other gourmet gifts
- Create professional, attractive bows and finishing details
- Wrap gifts using cellophane, ribbon, tissue and other packaging materials
- Select and arrange products so gifts look balanced, polished and premium
- Prep containers, packaging and products for upcoming orders
- Organize and prepare individual and large corporate gifting orders
- Keep gifting supplies, inventory and production areas organized
- Assist with receiving, unpacking and organizing gifting merchandise




- Help with other tasks as required — this is not a design-only position
- Work closely with other team members during busy production periods
- Occasionally work shifts at our Southcentre Mall location as a Sales Associate, assisting customers and representing Luc’s in a friendly and professional manner

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a creative or hands-on role such as gift basket design, floral design, crafting, visual merchandising, event décor, professional gift wrapping or similar work
- Robust attention to detail and a natural eye for presentation
- Ability to make a beautiful, professional bow
- Organized and able to work efficiently while maintaining quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during the Christmas season
- Comfortable assisting customers and working in a retail environment when required
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Dependable and a strong team player
- Able to stand for extended periods throughout a shift
- Able to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability

Hours & Scheduling This is a flexible, part-time position, with approximately 8–30 hours per week.





Hours and scheduled days may change from week to week depending on the volume of gifting and corporate orders. During busy periods, particularly leading into Christmas, additional availability may be required.

The primary work location is in Southeast Calgary, with occasional shifts at our Southcentre Mall location.

Pay

$18.00–$21.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and skill level.
