Volunteer Graphic Designer – Social Media & Digital Content

Organization: CZOA

Location: Remote

Term: One year, renewable by mutual agreement

Compensation: Volunteer

WHAT YOU BRING

- Genuine interest in urban planning, design, housing, or Canadian cities
- Comfort using Adobe Suite; experience in Figma, Canva, After Effects, or motion graphics would be an asset
- Knowledge of typography, layout, and basic web/social media design
- Clear, engaging written communication skills in English

Students and emerging professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design event posters, flyers, and promotional materials for lectures, workshops, networking events, and other programs.
- Create graphics and visual content for social media platforms, including Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Develop visual concepts and supporting graphics for events and initiatives.
- Create digital assets for websites, email communications, and other online platforms.
- Develop and maintain reusable design templates in Canva, InDesign, or other design software to support consistent organizational communications.




- Complete clearly assigned design tasks within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Communicate proactively if a deadline or project requirement cannot be met.
- Work independently within a remote, deadline-based environment.
