About the Role
An established precision manufacturer of high precision aerospace and nuclear components, serving global aerospace and nuclear industry customers from its Greater Toronto Area facility, is hiring a Director of Operations to lead its manufacturing operation.What You Will Do
You will own overall optimization of the manufacturing operation, from production throughput and quality through safety and delivery performance. You will drive long range strategic planning for manufacturing, oversee scheduling, forecasting, production control, inventory control and quality, and lead the operations leadership team responsible for manufacturing, planning and scheduling, and logistics.Key Responsibilities
Maintain safety, quality and regulatory compliance across the production facilityDevelop and implement operational strategies to support company growth and effective use of resourcesDrive long range strategic planning for manufacturing operations including scheduling, forecasting, production control, inventory control and qualityPlan and forecast future requirements such as current machinery, work centres,



plant layout and workforceLead adoption of recent processes and products into manufacturing with a continuous improvement focusBuild and mentor a robust, high performing operations leadership teamEnsure compliance with AS9100 and AS13000 standardsMust Haves
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Process Engineering, or a related field10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience10 years of operations management experience in an aerospace or tier 1 manufacturing environment5+ years of Lean and Continuous Improvement experienceDemonstrated success leading and managing high performing teamsStrong strategic planning, financial management and project management skillsNice to Haves
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologiesBroad exposure to aerospace manufacturing standards beyond AS9100What's on Offer
