About the Position

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team and provide day-to-day technical support to employees and assist with our company's computer systems, software, and technology infrastructure.

This position is well suited for someone with a practical IT background who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, helping users, and working with computers and business technology.

Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support to employees and users
Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain computers, applications, and peripherals
Assist with Microsoft 365, email, printers, and other business applications
Set up and maintain user accounts and access permissions
Diagnose and resolve basic network and connectivity problems
Monitor and maintain IT equipment and systems
Document technical issues, solutions, and support requests
Assist with software updates, system maintenance, and backups
Provide technical guidance and training to employees when required
Escalate more complex technical issues when necessary
Support the company with general IT and technology-related tasks

Requirements




Completion of a college program in computer science, information technology, computer systems, or a related field; or equivalent technical training and experience
Previous experience in IT support, technical support, help desk, computer technician, or a similar role is an asset
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business software
Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and customer-service skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple technical requests
Comfortable learning new software and technologies
